Shawn grew up on a farm in Central Alberta and has been proudly providing legal services to the City of Airdrie and surrounding areas since 2014.
After earning a degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Alberta in 2004, he moved to Calgary and split his time as an engineer with the EUB working in energy regulations, and a major oil and gas producer working as a reservoir engineer where he earned his Professional Engineering Designation.
Shawn received his MBA and Law degrees from the University of Calgary in 2011. He then articled with a national law firm where he was trained in construction law, business contracts, and Builders' Lien Law by one of the top construction lawyers in Canada.
Shawn has represented clients at every level of court in Alberta, including the Provincial Court, Court of Queens Bench, and the Court of Appeal. His focus is now on the Solicitor side working with clients with all:
- Real Estate Law,
- Business Law (Corporations: Commercial Property purchases and sales; and Lease drafting and reviews),
- Contract Law,
- Construction Law,
- Employment Law,
- Estate Planning (Wills),
- Estates,
- Personal Injury matters, and
- Notary Public.
Shawn is involved with coaching minor hockey and little league baseball in Airdrie and plans to continue to do so as long as he can. He enjoys spending time with his wife and three children, being a recreational league hockey player, singing, playing piano, guitar, ukulele and being physically active.
